I tried playing space invaders to beat a high score the other day and I could have except I have a life and got freaking bored to tears after about 15 minutes of playing. I guess I'm not one of those competitive PvP'rs.

Yes, they should. It's not really Ms.Pacman as in the arcade, it's more like Pac-Man using the Ms.Pac-Man sprites. But, hey, I've got a fever and the only prescription is MORE PAC-MAN!

Yeah, I'm loving the Pac-Man (or woman!). I wouldn't mind more versions of it so the level layout changes and such.

I'm thinking we should get Dig Dug in there as well, if I can find it.

(Ms.) Pacman, tetris, space invaders, chopper challenge are totally out of my league, so no one needs to worry about me taking over :P (maybe snake too, I dunno, seems pretty tough)

A really great game that you guys should try out is called Tetanus on Drugs, it's a freeware game available for PC (I also believe it's a GBA game or something), that totally owns tetris. Sorry the current site is down, but I'll post the link anyways in case it comes back up:
http://www.pineight.com/tod/

"I want X game to be on the arcade", easier said than done. It's almost guarenteed it would have to be a java or flash based game (possibly only flash, dunno. Possibly only from (a) certain site(s) too), which means if it's one of those classics, it would need to be a remake, and if it doens't exist, you'll just have to suffice trying to find it online and downloading it and playing it by yourself (not on arcade). You could then post a post here, or somewhere else to reccomend others to play it, and point them to a download.

Worm all the way, baby.

I can't control the fast speed well enough to be able to consistantly get out of tight corners, but medium feels just right. About 90% of the time I die it's because I didn't press to turn fast enough, though... (As opposed to blocking myself in or something like that)

I tried taking a screenshot while I was playing without messing up... unfortunately that didn't work too well. At least It's something to look at.

I don't remember all the speeds, but I think the slowest just doesn't work because the time it takes to get to the "food" just takes too long, especially when your body grows longer.
Medium is probably the best it seems, since fast doesn't seem to register movements properly, that or we are just too slow to control it.
same thing about dying in medium too. It's as if it isn't actually registering the move sometimes In My Opinion, but maybe it's just a illusion.

Been trying to get there. Worm is the way to go, but I find that "training" yourself on python two or three times before playing a worm game helps a lot.

The problem I have with the worm level is that if you try to do an "U" turn, sometimes it doesn't work. For example the worm is going down and you press left then up, if you press up before the snake has moved one square left, it won't recognize the up command.

I could slow down and try to get the proper timing for it, but I'd rather try to speed myself up and master python. Still having trouble with it, missing 40% of turns by one square

Yea, U-turn sometimes doesnt work for me either on python. But im focusing on Asteroids. Nothing like commanding a little space ship and blowing up big rocks and UFO's.

I did play some Tetris, but my meager skills are no match for your herculean score.

The problem when you want to make a U turn is when you think "Hey, I need to take 2 turns in quick sucession, which means I have to tap the 2 buttons close in time together," and you overcompensate.

I tried logging in and playing on a 144mhz computer in my school but worm was running slower than slug and the response to pressing the controls was about 2 space movements too slow.

I think it's halarious certain flash apps can't be run right on slower machines like that.

that's another problem with things though, different computers run them at different speeds, sometimes yielding an advantage.
